Looking for Some Family Fun?
Check Out the Century Trout Farm

Century Trout Farm, located two miles south of Oregon on Hwy 14, received a fresh load of rainbow trout on April 20, making fishing again excellent.   Many area families enjoy spending an hour or so fishing in the park-like setting.   The best part, Mark or Jean clean the fish for you!  You're also welcome to bring a basket of food and use the picnic tables at no charge.

Fish now range in size from 10" to nearly 20."   Mark and Jean prefer you bring your own fishing equipment, but they have free cane poles for those who need them.   Later this month Mark hopes to have rental fishing equipment available.

The mute swans are again starting a family, much as they have for the past 20 years.   The female is incubating five eggs, which hopefully will hatch in late May.   Fishing clients enjoy looking at the nest hidden off in the woods behind the main pond.   Father swan won't let you get too close, however.  To learn more about the trout farm, checkout their website at www.wistrout.com.
